Open chatgpt.com and start a new chat. Set the context:
Type and send: "I'm studying for the NAHAM CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) exam. I work in patient access at a hospital. Help me study by quizzing me, explaining concepts, and generating practice questions. The exam covers 6 domains: Patient Access Processes, Financial Management, Technology, Customer Service, Compliance, and Professional Development."
What you should see: ChatGPT acknowledges the exam structure and asks how you'd like to start.
Tell ChatGPT how you want to study:
Quiz mode: "Quiz me with 10 multiple-choice questions on [domain, e.g., 'Financial Management, patient responsibility and insurance verification']. Show me one question at a time. Wait for my answer before showing the correct one."
Explanation mode: "Explain [concept, e.g., 'coordination of benefits'] as it would appear on the CHAA exam. Give me an example scenario and the correct answer with the reasoning."
Weak spot mode: "I'm weakest on prior authorization processes. Give me 5 scenario-based questions that require me to understand the PA workflow from eligibility check through submission and follow-up."
After each quiz session, ask: "Based on the questions I got wrong, what topic areas should I focus on next? Give me a 3-question follow-up quiz on those areas."
What you should see: ChatGPT identifies the conceptual gap (e.g., "You're confusing pre-certification with prior authorization") and gives you targeted follow-up questions.
